Since the formal launch of China's energy efficiency labeling program on March 1, 2005, the state has successively issued catalogs of eight batches of products subject to energy efficiency labeling, covering 25 types of energy-using product including household appliances, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment, industrial products, lighting fixtures and office equipment, and has established an implementation system for preliminary research, registration announcement, publicity and promotion, supervision, control, and policy support in respect of energy efficiency labeling.

The China Energy Label Center of the China National Institution of Standardization (CELC) has drafted the "Energy efficiency labeling implementation rules for domestic solar hot water systems" and the draft for comment has been completed. The relevant units and organizations are invited to review it, propose amendments, and return the "Comment form for energy efficiency labeling implementation rules" of the relevant products before December 23, 2011. Non-return of comments will be registered as consent.
